Zillow in FORTUNE
By: Zillow Team, Zillow.com | February 7, 2007
Just in time for our first birthday, we’re very excited to be on the cover of the February 19th issue of FORTUNE Magazine. The writer, Jeffrey O’Brien, tells a pretty interesting story about posting a Make Me Move price on his San Francisco home - and getting a serious offer.
The issue is online today and on newsstands next week.

Zillow has positioned themselves in such a great way. Getting on the cover of Fortune, frequent comparisons to Google, and being considered a pioneer of real estate’s future despite never having to attend a closing. Let’s see, Zillow gets all of the exposure without having to deal with any of the real estate industry’s games, and by games I mean layers of regulations that make it very difficult to penetrate any market. Just ask Redfin. Even with a great business model and national recognition they seem to be having a tough time making significant changes in this industry. Now that I think of it…I wonder what Redfin’s thoughts are on Zillow getting all the glory while recieving much less resistance from the real estate community? Or are all Internet based real estate companies in this battle together, and any exposure is good exposure? Any thoughts Glenn?

Is it a crime?
Fortune Magazine, real estate issues and lots more as long as it has something to do with real estate business.I traveled my strange trip to Europe right on time for European Union and I’m still there. What I discoverd in one of polish cities where I reside now? There was Remax Mutual office there running driving school, what a shame ,not only that they had very jumpy attitude and attacked me on the street but the nature of their bussines was more than shady, they tried to run me over on the street in the city where I have been born. Not this way people from Remax Mutual, that’s not called business it’s called crime!
