Friday Fun: 50,000+ Square Feet via Bird’s Eye

News reports and the Walk-Through blog have speculated about the sale (or not) of the late Aaron Spelling’s 50,000-plus square-foot Southern California mansion.
I’m just blown away by how it looks via Bird’s Eye View — you have to zoom out substantially to even see the entire house.
Bathrooms = 16
Neighbors = Hugh Hefner & friends
2005 Property taxes = $707,790
Wow.

Northwoods Retreat - Todays Needle in a Haystack
Well, this one is on my list of the top 10 perfect places on LakePlace.com right now. Sure, it is not the Aaron Spelling Mansion as highlighted over at Zillow - but who needs 50,000 Sqft. anyways?
This place kind of reminds me of the movie On Go…

Whoa! How did you get a picture like that? What an absolutely fabulous house. Those celebrity estates give new meaning to the term luxury house floor plan don’t they? I can’t imagine having 16 bedrooms.

I have been there several times but only as fortunate as the many who can only dream by looking over the rather small gate to such a grand estate. I’m just hoping one day a camera crew will get in there and allow us to catch a glimpse of that gorgeous mansion…better yet, they should invite me over!
