A Little Slice of Elvis
By: Diane Tuman, Content Manager | April 24, 2006 |
In case you missed it, the first home Elvis Presley ever owned is for sale on eBay. The single-story Memphis home is 3,000-square feet, has four bedrooms and is loaded with anecdotes of Elvis’ life there. According to the eBay post, Elvis purchased this home with the money he made from the hit "Heartbreak Hotel" in 1956.
Admittedly, the Zestimate can’t do justice to a home formerly owned by the King of Rock ‘n Roll, but nevertheless, it’s valued at $273,345 (and last sold in 1998 for $180,000). Bidding started on April 15 at $100,000 and as of this post, it’s up to $410K+ with the final bid being accepted on May 14. I’m going to guess this baby will keep going up and up… who can resist chasing this piece of history?

“Zillow can’t do it justice.” Imagine that. You should just call this site Lowballthepropertyowner.com.
