Welcome, MLS PIN!
By: Jorrit Van der Meulen, VP, Partner Relations | March 19, 2008
Our newest partner in the Zillow Listings Feed program is one we’re especially excited about. That’s because they’re our first MLS partner (of many, we hope)! Please join me in welcoming to the Zillow Feeds “family” MLS Property Information Network, Inc., which has approximately 30,000 participants and subscribers throughout New England, and more than 60,000 for sale listings.
This partnership will simplify the lives of their customers - brokers and agents alike - by allowing them to opt in to have their listings displayed on Zillow, which attracts nearly 5 million visitors each month. In addition, MLS PIN is also participating in Zillow’s Virtual Sold Sign program, which allows agents and brokers to continue to market their services on Zillow, long after the listings have sold. By participating in the Virtual Sold Sign program, attribution for the previous listing agents or brokers becomes part of that home’s permanent history on the Zillow Home Details page for millions of consumers researching homes to see.
Again, welcome! We hope this is the first of many MLS partnerships. To sign up for the Zillow Listings Feed program or Virtual Sold Sign program, visit www.zillowfeeds.com.

This is old news. This partnership started months ago. I am a member of MLSPIN. They run a great MLS service that is so much better than any other MLS system. They are way more advanced than most.

[…] The document also stresses that the data will not be publicly accessible. Yet, at the same time, the “Statement of Inevitability” at the beginning of the document lists the proliferation of “[c]onsumer-focused real estate websites” as one of the reasons TREC is necessary — to keep Realtors “at the center of the real estate transaction.” At this level, not only does the concept feel like the cart before the horse but also like trying to put the horse back in the barn, just as they’ve started to run free.
