Use EZ Ads to Kick-Start your blog
By: Drew Meyers, Community Relations Specialist | May 21, 2007 |
More and more real estate professionals out there are actively trying to build their local blogs into the place to get real estate information about specific neighborhoods. Just take a look at the Local Real Estate Blog directory that is part of Zillow’s Real Estate Guide — it has well over 100 local real estate blogs listed, and nearly all drill down well below the city level in their coverage.
The tricky part to creating an effective local blog? Growing traffic. No doubt about it, growing traffic “organically” (i.e., via commenting and posting great content) takes time. So how can you speed up the growth of your local blog traffic? Here’s an idea: take out a Zillow EZ Ad targeting the ZIP codes you are trying to reach! As I mentioned before, I took out an EZ Ad to help my blogging apprentice, Tisza Major-Posner, grow traffic for Route66 Living. I think it’s a fantastic way to reach those in the early stages of the home buying process (read: potential clients) located in your target market.

Apparently, I’m not the only one that thought it was a good way to attract local buyers, sellers, and owners. Yesterday, I stumbled upon an EZ Ad (shown at left) for UrbanAsh — a blog focused on the local real estate market in several Seattle neighborhoods: Downtown, Belltown, South Lake Union, and Queen Anne.
If you are a real estate professional building a local blog, you’ve got a new power tool at your disposal: EZ Ads.
