Shout It From the Rooftop

Airplane pilots are privy to lots of sights from up high and here’s another one they will come across as they land and depart from Philadelphia International Airport:
“F_U F. A. A. No Fly Zone.”
According to an article in the Philadelphia Daily News, a couple who lives in Ridley Township (suburb near Philly) became so incensed from the noise from jets that fly overhead — as a result of a recent change in new flight paths from the airport — that they exercised their right to free speech by taking their message to the rooftop of their home. Seems extreme? The article states the homeowner claimed he called the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s noise complaint hotline 20 times, only to get an automated message telling him the complaint mailbox was full and could no longer accept new calls.
Their message seems to be ringing loud and clear within the community and area leaders, but the FAA had no comment. Ah, what’s a better Friday Fun blog post than a vulgar message from a rooftop.

Great photo,love it
Well I was wondering now that this is out there how much more unwanted traffic they got!
I wonder if this shows up in the satellite photo.. anyone know the address?
Hello, RE Chocolate: I doubt you’ll see this unless someone has a map program that renders in (near) real time since they just put this sign up a few weeks ago and satellite images are usually updated every year or so.
