Real Links du Jour

As the shortened work week winds down, here’s some interesting blog posts and other news that I don’t have time to cover in detail. Enjoy.
- Paramount Realty, who deals in premium Manhattan listings, has added some spice to the New York home search — 6 of Paramount’s Agents are gorgeous runway models — they will pick you up in a Rolls and treat you to lunch after your showing. (Hat Tip, Gawker).
- Local Seattle Realtor, Ardell DellaLoggia talks a seller through "How to test your Zestimate" using your knowledge of local listings and by identifying your home’s "significant other".
- Lore Magazine lists the top 200 Real Estate Agents of 2006. Harald Grant takes Top Agent honors with sales volume in excess of $244 Million. (Hat Tip, Jon Novak).
- Bloodhound Blog has dissected the topic of Dual Agency from multiple angles. For me, this post does the best job of simply explaining the potential for conflicts of interest that may arise when an agent represents both the buyer and the seller in the same transaction.
- With blogs making journalists
out of more and more of us, Realty
Times features a detailed reminder which PHD
simply précised as "don’t steal other people’s content online" (unless, of course, they’re giving it
away). - The home staging industry got a boost — Lucie Quigley reports that today Oprah will showcase the staging skills of celebrity designer, Nate Berkus.
- Stumble it!
