Project Blogger Update: Zestimate Integration
By: Drew Meyers, Business Development Specialist | April 27, 2007
Project Blogger is well underway and I’ve been having a lot of fun talking Tisza Major-Posner through some tips and tricks to effective business blogging. I said I’d report back when there was substantial progress, so here’s what’s new:
- Thanks to a wordpress plugin by Realivent (contact them about it) you can now get a Zestimate and a map of comparable sales on Route66 Living. You may remember that I suggested someone does this just two weeks ago - and the Realivent came through with a great add on for RE bloggers. To get a Zestimate, enter your address in the right sidebar on Tisza’s blog. The widget could be an awesome lead generator — it allows sellers to immediately request for a CMA from Tisza.
- Zillow has sponsored EZ Ads to increase local awareness for Route66 Living. Tisza’s blog covers the Claremont neighborhood in California and so the ad is targeted to run in ZIP code 91711. If you have suggestions for changes we could make to the advertisement that would improve response rate, please let us know (leave a comment). Here’s the ad we started with:
- There is a new header image on the blog that gives you a bit of a feel for the area.
- Installed the RockinNewspaper 3 theme (thanks Cory Miller!) and tweaked the sidebars.
- Added a "Contact Me" form.
Tisza is doing a fantastic job of writing great blog posts. The local content about Claremont is on the Route66 Living blog and articles of interest to other real estate professionals are on her Active Rain blog.
Stay tuned for further updates! As always, any feedback you have will be greatly appreciated. What do you think?
- Stumble it!

The new header is fantastic … but now have the R66 sign is repeated 3 times in very prominent real estate on the page - why not remove the pics from the top of the left sidebar?

I just removed the top R66 sign on the left sidebar, but left the map.

Drew, thanks for trying out the plugin for us and installing it on Route 66 Living. We are planning some enhancements to it soon before making it available to everyone.

Tisza’s blog is looking great. I’ll be glad when Zestimates are available in my area!
