Today’s Wiki Wednesday Feature: Homeowners Insurance
If you own a home, you are no doubt familiar with the world of homeowners insurance. But do you know exactly what your policy covers — and doesn’t cover? The recent catastrophic flooding in the Midwest serves as a reminder that it’s extremely important to check your policy and understand what is covered. Expect the unexpected — and be prepared.
This week, we’re highlighting a new section in the Real Estate Guide on homeowners insurance. We are hopefully that this new section will help people make more informed decisions about their insurance policies.
Not sure which policy is right for you? Learn about the types of policies. Don’t know the difference between a rider and a floater? Brush up on your insurance terms in the insurance glossary. You can also learn about disaster coverage, from when you need disaster insurance to what to do after a disaster occurs. See all of the insurance topics covered here.
Ed: Wiki Wednesdays is a weekly feature that highlights helpful or interesting articles from the Real Estate Guide.

This is important for all homeowners to know! Whether you have owned your home for years or are buying a new home, it is important to review your homeowners policy.
