Loan Requests, Quotes Pouring into Zillow Mortgage Marketplace

We’ve had a busy week here at Zillow since Zillow Mortgage Marketplace launched last Wednesday evening. At this writing, 7,866 loan requests have been submitted by borrowers, and lenders have responded with more than 14,397 loan quotes! Needless to say, this surpasses any expectations we had internally for the first week out of the gate.
While hundreds of lenders signed up at launch, and hundreds more are confirmed each day, the consumer demand has been so great that there are borrowers who are waiting to receive quotes. Below is a list which highlights loan requests and loan quotes by state. As you’ll see, there is plenty of opportunity for lenders to get their foot in the door with borrowers shopping for loans.
And many thanks to the lenders and borrowers who have provided us with feedback on Zillow Mortgage Marketplace. We’re always looking for ways to make the site better, so please keep your suggestions coming — keep it up!

The numbers are low in Kansas, I bet that means there are just a lot of cash buyers out there!?
