By: David Gibbons, Director of Community Relations | January 22, 2008 |
Update (@ 15:10) Zillow is back to normal and searches are working well. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for hanging in there with us while we repaired this problem.
Update (@ 14:38) You should now see the Zillow.com home page again. Search functionality is not yet working; we apologize for the inconvenience. In the meantime, if you’ve claimed your home, you will find your Zestimate and a link to your home’s detail page in your favorites. And here are links to a few interesting recent threads in Zillow Discussions while you wait:
- Dirty rotten tricks!!
- Mortgage rates are now down too! and Rates Slashed 3/4 Point
- Encroachments on Both Sides of the Fence (or property line)
- Recession? Are you doing anything different to prepare for it?
- I am about ready to give up…..
Update (@ 14:22) We’re still investigating search related issues but you should be able to access other site sections. Why not check out some of the recent debates in Zillow Discussions while you wait.
A short while ago, we started to see a massive load on our servers which started to impact site performance. We’ve taken the site down and are working to resolve the problem. We’ll be back with an update when we have more news.

I think that Zillow has gotten slower over the last 2-3 weeks..not including today’s snafu..I think that after the 1st of the year the ability to use Zillow has sucked. The site is slow, it takes forever to load and I won’t use it anymore in the future

Sorry to hear that but thanks for the feedback. Our operators measure speed (latency) constantly. I just checked their logs and there hasn’t been a change to latency recently. Is it possible that network configurations changed on your end at all?
This site has ceased to search function for the past secveral days. any explanation?
Thanks
