Matthew Perry Sells Modern Mansion in Hollywood Hills
Matthew Perry may have retired from his day job on “Friends,” but he’s kept busy dabbling in real estate. After listing his West Hollywood apartment in August 2011, the actor purchased a home with ocean views on the Sunset Strip. Later that year, Perry listed his main Los Angeles residence for $5.69 million.
Over a year later, Perry has now sold his Hollywood Hills estate for $4.7 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The home is dripping with luxury — from its sophisticated, modern design to glass walls and a home theater. The 4,100-square-foot estate also has exceptional city and canyon views.
Perry originally purchased the home for $4.47 million in 2008. The house was built in 1955 but reportedly underwent a renovation led by architect Scott Carty in the mid-’90s.
The Massachusetts native moved to L.A. at age 15, and his acting career grew from there. Perry has appeared in several hit films including “The Whole Nine Yards” and “Fools Rush In,” but his claim to fame is undoubtedly the 1990s TV comedy “Friends.”
While the Hollywood Hills West community won’t be seeing Perry in the neighborhood any time soon, the celeb can be seen appearing on NBC’s “Go On.”
