Everybody Is Going to Love Patricia Heaton’s Newly Listed Home
UPDATE 5/21/13: The sale of Patricia Heaton’s L.A. home closed on May 7, 2013 for $8 million.
Everybody may love Raymond, but it’s hard to imagine that everyone isn’t going to pine for the real-life house of Ray Romano’s small-screen wife, Patricia Heaton. The actress and her husband, David Hunt, have just listed their perfectly appointed 1920s Italian Mediterranean estate for $8.295 million.
At 8,400 square feet with 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, the house at 355 S Muirfield Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90020 is just about 180 degrees the opposite of the cozy Long Island Cape Cod that Heaton — who starred at Debra Barone in “Everybody Loves Raymond” — shared with Romano.
Heaton and Hunt bought the property in 2001 for $4.85 million and spent big bucks to refurbish the exclusive Hancock Park home, which has been featured in publications such as Architectural Digest.
According to RealEstalker, Heaton and Hurt quietly marketed the property last year for $12 million, but there were no takers. The listing is with Lisa Hutchins of Coldwell Banker, who calls this a rare opportunity to own a piece of architectural history in a coveted, private spot.
The lot is more than 50,000 square feet, and the home’s design echoes that of a Malibu home owned by Merritt and Rhoda Adamson that appears on the National Register of Historic Places.
