Albert Brooks Re-Lists Bel Air Home He Bought From Merv Griffin
Given the keenly scathing sense of humor possessed by comedian/actor Albert Brooks, he’d probably be the first to make a crack at having to take, well, another crack at the Bel Air real estate market.
Maybe something along the Henny Youngman lines of “Take my house, please.”
That’s because for the second time, the funny man writer and pithy Twitter king is looking to sell his marvelous home at 3051 Antelo View Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90077. The price is $6.995 million, the same amount Brooks sought when he first listed the beam-ceiling, 5,100-square-foot ranch in March 2012.
The house has 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and is situated on a 2-acre lot up a winding driveway inside privacy fencing. The house was built in 1990 and had been owned by entertainment mogul Merv Griffin, who sold it to Brooks in 1993.
This listing is being held by Billy Rose of The Agency, which is marketing the estate as a modernist ski lodge or Balinese pavilion. The soaring, 20-foot ceilings and copious glass windows look out over a yard that includes lawn space, a tennis court and infinity pool.
