‘Parks and Recreation’ and Real Estate: Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally List Home
Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally’s home is a far cry from the style in the fictional Pawnee, IN, of “Parks and Recreation.” Perched in the highly desirable Bird Streets in Hollywood Hills, the home is a mid-century contemporary completely decked out in high-end decor.
Offerman currently stars as anti-government parks director Ron Swanson in “Parks and Recreation.” Mullally, best known for her Emmy-winning role on “Will & Grace”, has an occasional role on the show, too, as Swanson’s ex-wife Tammy.
The TV duo purchased the home at 1435 Tanager Way, Los Angeles CA 90069 in 2003 for $3.95 million. Pricing the home at $12.65 million sets them up to get quite a return on the slice of real estate. The home was featured in Elle Decor in September 2010, where it got the full glossy page treatment of its 3,803-square-foot interiors.
The “completely walled and private” home features clean lines and open living space on a quarter-acre lot at the end of a cul-de-sac. The living room opens out to a large patio, pool and landscaped lawn — all with views of Los Angeles below.
