Anne Hathaway’s ‘Breakup’ Apartment Available for Rent
In 2008, businessman Raffaello Follieri pleaded guilty to money laundering, wire fraud, and conspiracy. For these transgressions, he lost his freedom — he’s currently in prison — and his movie star girlfriend, Anne Hathaway.
Hathaway dropped Follieri and rented a Manhattan apartment to get over her four-year old relationship with the Italian real estate investor. The high-end loft is now available for $65,000 a month. Perhaps Cameron Diaz, newly single after dating Alex Rodriguez, will be interested.
Hathaway, who launched her career starring in the lighthearted teen flick “Princess Diaries,” is now a Hollywood heavyweight with roles in “Havoc,” “Brokeback Mountain,” and “The Devil Wears Prada.” Born and raised in New York, the actress has resided there throughout her career.
Anne Hathaway’s former apartment would help anyone get over a bad breakup. It offers sweeping views of Central Park, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the Empire State Building. Located in the high-end Olympic Tower Duplex, the condo is one of the largest that the building offers with 7,750 square feet of living space. The 11-room penthouse has 4 bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, corner living room with wet bar, and formal dining room with seats for 12. The updated chef’s kitchen has an eat-in bar area, marble countertops, and luxury stainless-steel appliances.
Additionally, the apartment features a media room with an 8-foot projection screen. The master suite has his-and-her baths and “endless closets.” While rent is high in the Big Apple, what pushes this New York apartment over the top, is its marble floors, substantial views, and of course what comes with every luxury apartment: a 24-hour doorman and concierge service, three uniformed elevator men and a private gym.
