For Rent: Vince Vaughn’s Chicago Townhouse – $8,000/Month
It looks like laugh-out-loud movie star, Vince Vaughn, went from being interested to not really interested, but played like he might be interested but not too interested and thought he could be interested and then all of a sudden was really interested in renting out his Chicago townhouse again. For those who did not see the Wedding Crashers movie, the “interested/not interested” scene was a classic Vaughn moment and also translates into Vince becoming a landlord for the second year in a row. According to the Chicago Tribune, the 41-year-old actor recently listed his 3-bedroom town home for rent with a steep asking price of $8,000/mo. As previously mentioned, this won’t be the comedian’s first experience in the rental arena. He found a tenant for the 4,000-sq ft pad last summer for $7,000/mo.
Other than having the so-called “prince of deadpan” as a landlord, what other perks does this River North, IL rental offer? For starters, the unit comes stacked with 4-flat screen TVs – one in the living room, family room, den, and master suite. If that wasn’t enough television power for you, the property also includes a custom-designed home theater with “7 fully reclining electric (recliner) chairs.” Additional features include a custom master bath with a steam shower and Jacuzzi tub, rooftop terrace with city views, eat-in kitchen, and a three-car garage. Curbed Chicago notes the space will be available July 1.
Vaughn purchased the townhouse in 2005 for $4.1 million. The “Frat Pack” member quickly upgraded to his current residence only a year later but never let go of his River North real estate investment. The Tribune reports Vaughn’s current residence is a 7,800-sq ft duplex penthouse at a Chicago Landmark building, Palmolive, which he purchased for $12 million in 2006.
