30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rate Declines For Fourth Consecutive Week

Mortgage rates for 30-year fixed mortgages fell this week, with the current rate borrowers were quoted on Zillow Mortgage Marketplace at 4.71 percent, down from 4.72 percent at this same time last week.

The 30-year fixed mortgage rate peaked at 4.77 percent on Friday, dropping to as low as 4.72 percent over the weekend; the rate peaked again at 4.76 percent on Monday before falling to the current rate.

Additionally, the 15-year fixed mortgage rate on Tuesday morning was 3.99 percent and for 5/1 ARMs, the rate was 3.25 percent.
