Dr. Phil Lists His Beverly Hills Home for $16.5 Million

Everyone’s favorite prime-time TV shrink, Dr. Phil and his wife, Robin, are selling their Beverly Hills home for $16.5 million. While speculation about their divorce has swirled for years and found new legs with this real estate listing, the LA Times reports they are merely trading up after they “… bought a hillside view home they’ve been admiring for years.”

Dr. Phil’s gated and walled Mediterranean-style home is on three-quarters of an acre and in the description, the tell-tale reason they’re moving comes out: “…it’s on a flat lot…” and that’s why they covet the hillside view home! Makes sense. After living on the hill for a few years, they will soon desire a flat-lot home. That’s the way we scratch our real estate itches.

Anyway, the home features a “grand, two-story entry, generously sized rooms, a theater, gym, billiard room, two-bedroom detached guest casita, outdoor dining room and a master retreat with his and hers baths.”

That looks very beautiful, like a mini castle. It’s not necessarily a bad thing to have a house on a flat lot. It’s actually more convenient and if you want a view, it doesn’t need to have hills. The exterior of this house is so well manicured and immaculate, every part of it is a lovely view.

This is a really beautiful home. I could only imagine the one they trade up for. The privacy the walls and plants offer is perfect for a celebrity.

Not the type home I expected him to live in, overpriced too. You can buy his type home in Orange County’s Newport Coast all day long for less than half the price he is asking for his place, like between 3.4M to 6M. Who the heck is he trying to fool, Mr. Phil is not even a real doctor and hardly a movie star. What a joke.

The rumor the Dr Phil is not a real doctor has been circulating for years and it is proven to be not true. Just do a google search. The rumor was started by some jealous psychiatrists that don’t agree with his ways when in fact the type of therapy he suggests does work.
He has a doctorate in Psychology which makes him a “doctor” in psychology.

I don’t really care for Dr. Phil but he sure does have good taste! I wonder why he is selling it? Aww, well.. I guess the “rich” get bored and need changes too. Nice house though..

Well, I think it is a beautiful home, well maintained inside and out. love all the palmtrees. Yes I love love palm trees and have a few of my own.I can’t say that I love the dining room. but, everyone has their own taste in their home decor and that is what makes us all different. I love the walk in closet, I love entrance foyer with double staircase. The landscaping is nice and well maintained and lends a very nice view. Good luck Dr Phil and Robin, wishing you much enjoyment on your new home!!
