Diane Keaton’s Pacific Palisades Home on Market for $8.5 Million
Diane’s at it again.
Actress and serial home buyer-renovator-seller Diane Keaton is selling her Pacific Palisades home for $8.5 million, according to the LA Times. Keaton is notorious for buying homes and decorating/designing them to the hilt, then selling. Last year, she listed her Beverly Hills home — a Ralph Flewelling-designed Spanish Colonial Revival — for $12,995,000 and it’s still for sale, but reduced to $10,495,000.
As the LA Times reports, Keaton’s renovations include:
- Lloyd Wright’s Los Feliz landmark Samuel-Novarro House (she sold to Christina Ricci)
- Wallace Neff-designed Spanish-style estate in Beverly Hills (sold to Madonna)
- Bel-Air hacienda designed in the style of George Washington Smith
- Spanish-style hillside home in Laguna Beach
According to public records, Keaton purchased the home in 2007 for $9.1 million and is selling it for a loss, not to mention the money and work she put into the home, which includes restoring the woodwork and built-ins, opening up the second floor to create a loft-style master bedroom with walls of glass, landscaping and putting in that special Diane Keaton touch.
